NASA Recognizes DSI with Excellence Award

Davis Strategic Innovations, Inc., wins Marshall Space Flight Center’s (MSFC) FY 2009 Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (September 24, 2009) – Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) honored Davis Strategic Innovations, Inc. (DSI), as a fiscal year 2009 Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award winner. This award is presented for exemplary support to NASA through Teledyne Brown Engineering (TBE) under the MSFC System Development and Operations Support contract, and task orders against the TBE GSA blanket purchase agreement.

TBE nominated DSI for the MSFC 2009 Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award. “This recognition is as much a reflection on TBE as it is on DSI,” said Jim Davis, President, DSI. “TBE is truly a team of professionals where the highest integrity is second nature and optimism prevails. TBE’s leadership and trust has been a critical component that allowed DSI to excel.”

The TBE and DSI contractual association began in May 2007. As a small business subcontractor to TBE, DSI supports the NASA Ares launch vehicles program by providing various types of engineering support such as propulsion, stress, thermal, design, mechanical, hardware, and guidance and navigation engineering.

DSI’s focus on superior customer satisfaction and willingness to do what is required to get the job done is a reflection of the commitment to Quality Service. NASA customers have recognized DSI for their can-do attitude and “rely on DSI day-to-day” and “DSI provides great technical expertise.”

DSI formally accepted the Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award on September 24, 2009, at MSFC’s 2009 Industry Advocates Award Ceremony held in the auditorium at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, Huntsville, Alabama. The award was received by the President/CEO, Dr. Jim A. Davis, and DSI’s first three engineers at NASA, Mr. John Sebghati, Mr. Harry Miller, and Mr. Douglas Brummett. The engineers accepting the award represented the entire DSI Professional Staff.
